Act 2, Scene 2 – “She seemed to have had quite a long nose.”

Katharine-page-001Notes on Princess Katharine

Henry V and his new queen get a taste of the shape of things to come this week.

This was the first cartoon I drew for act two, and I found it a bit of a struggle to get back into the swing of things at first. The thing that finally pulled it together was looking over portraits of the real Catherine of Valois, and discovering she seemed to have had quite a long nose. That led to designing a pointier face shape to give her a more distinctive look.

Henry VI in Five easy Steps is probably redundant now.
