Notes on And the Rest is Silence
And a happy new year to you all.
A quick update on the shape of things to come with Zounds. I’ve been working on the first batch of drawings for act two, and have a decent handful lined up. (Some old friends, some new friends, some old friends with new friends…) Now begins the editing process to turn them into complete cartoons. I’d like to get a few in the bank before I start releasing them into the wild, to help with keeping to the weekly schedule, but the first should be up soon.
In the meantime, with Twelfth Night imminent (Spoiler, not spoiler, you decide…) it seemed remiss to leave the Christmas issue up for a good chunk of January, so here’s another helping of our old friend Hamlet and his even older friend Yorick to keep things going.
I’ve also been doing some tinkering around the edges, and put together a new archive page to make access to the various recurring threads of Zounds easier, with a sub-page for act one and another for act two to be added once it starts up.
If there are any plays, characters or sonnets you’d like to see covered, please leave your comments below. Feedback is always welcome.
EDIT: Work continues apace on act two and I hope to have something ready by the end of the month. In the meantime, keep an eye on the Facebook page for sneak previews of the coming cartoons.
