Act 2, Scene 22 – “That really cool thing he did one time.”

Raleigh 1-page-001Notes on No Legacy Is so Rich as Honesty Part One

Will’s old friend Sir Walter Raleigh is back this week, to regale us with the story of that really cool thing he did one time (I’d say stop him if you’ve heard it, but he’ll carry on anyway…)

Walter has been the most significant stab at giving Shakespeare and the Lady a supporting cast, but even so he’s only appeared in a few panels so far. I decided I wanted to let him take centre stage for a bit and get a better sense of him as a character, and how he contrasts and complements our anxious bard, so ended up expanding this conversation beyond a single page. Join us next week for more musings on the nature of fact and fiction from Tudor England’s greatest hero.
