Act 2, Scene 26 – “Nobody seems to have a plan.”

Albany-page-001Notes on The Duke of Albany

King Lear is a play that has featured very rarely in Zounds and mostly been approached indirectly in the service of pop culture pastiche, but this week I’ve decided to rectify the situation with a visit to the dying moments of the play and a timely look at what happens when you get to the end and nobody seems to have a plan…

Lear is definitely a play I intend to return to, although I don’t have any specific plans as yet. I’d like to do something involving the three daughters. We shall see. Unlike Gloucester.
